Hand-dyed tussah silk from the Airships and Automata collection. Like all silk, tussah is strong, soft, very fine, and an excellent insulator. Unlike the more popular bombyx silk, however, tussah usually has gold tones and can contain more texture.
My, my, how trends do change! A 21st century man-about-town would be quite shocked to find himself seated in the front parlor of a Victorian gentleman of high fashion. Personally, while I find the palette quite fetching in this context, It might be just a smidge … extra … to wallpaper an entire room in these pinks and plums these days, even with the pops of white and brown. Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different.
