Dionysian Hand-Dyed Tussah Silk Top
Hand-dyed tussah silk. Like all silk, tussah is strong, soft, very fine, and an excellent insulator. Unlike the more popular bombyx silk, however, tussah usually has gold tones and can contain more texture.
The Dionysian mysteries spanned centuries as a cult of revelry, with one aspect or another taking prominence at different times, but always maintaining a connection to the god of wine and the grape. Garnet, green, blue-black, and other vineyard hues mingle in this colorway paying homage to Dionysus in all his aspects. Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different.
2 oz each.
All my fibers are dyed in a smoke free, pet friendly home.
If you are interested in a larger quantity or would like to purchase Dandy’s Drawing Room on a different fiber base, please reach out to me! I’d be thrilled to dye up a batch to order.
