Drowsing Dormouse Art Batt (Ask Alice collection)
Fiber batt from the Ask Alice collection, made using hand-dyed fibers. Drowsing Dormouse consists of 81% wool (Romney/Cheviot cross, Romney, Cheviot, Columbia/Rambouillet cross, Churro, CVM, Cotswold/Wensleydale cross locks) processed from raw, regionally sourced fleeces, 8% bamboo, 8% silk, and 3% mohair. This blend has some of everything - finewools, longwools, strength, softness, texture, color - what’s not to love?
Pinks, greens, and blues in a field of brown call to mind the famous tea party, in which the eponymous Dormouse fell asleep in the teapot. Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different.
