Beltane Flowers art batt

$29.00

Fiber batt made using hand-dyed fibers, Beltane Flowers is a blend of 95% wool (CVM, Romney/Cheviot cross, Columbia/Rambouillet cross, Cheviot, Cotswold/Wensleydale cross locks), 3% Tussah silk, and 2% bamboo. The Cheviot, Romney/Cheviot and Cotswold/Wensleydale wools used in this blend are strong wools with striking lock structure and wavy crimp, while the Columbia/Rambouillet fleece is a softer, finer-crimp lock. These work together to provide both durability and a great hand to yarns produced from the blend, especially once the silk and bamboo are added. The majority of the wools used at Fat Lady’s Song are processed from raw fleeces sourced directly from nearby shepherds and farmers.

Beltane Flowers evokes a field of mid-spring flowers partially obscured by streamers of smoke from a Beltane bonfire. Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different. Batts are 2.9 oz each.

All my fibers are dyed and blended in a smoke free, pet friendly home studio.

If you are interested in a larger quantity or would like to purchase Beltane Flowers blended using different fibers, please reach out to me! I’d be thrilled to whip up a batch to order.
