Fiber batt made using hand-dyed fibers, Pysanka is a blend of 77% wool (Romney/Cheviot, Merino/Cotswold, Columbia/Rambouillet), 20% mohair, 2% bamboo, 1% silk. The Romney/Cheviot wool used in this blend is a strong wool with striking lock structure and wavy crimp, while the Columbia/Rambouillet and Merino/Cotswold fleeces offer a softer, finer-crimp lock. These work together to provide both durability and a great hand to yarns produced from the blend, especially once the silk and bamboo are added. Mohair provides additional strength and luster.
Pysanka is named for the Ukranian egg-decorating art, and color choices also support Ukraine by reflecting the colors of its flag. Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different.
