Fiber batt made using hand-dyed fibers, Cheshire is a blend of 82% wool (CVM, Rambouillet, Merino/Cotswold, Columbia/Rambouillet, Cotswold/Wensleydale, Romney/Cheviot), 9% mohair, 7% tussah silk, 2% bamboo. The Romney/Cheviot and Cotswold/Wensleydale wools used in this blend are strong wools with striking lock structure and wavy crimp, while the other breeds offer a softer, finer-crimp lock. These work together to provide both durability and a great hand to yarns produced from the blend, especially once the silk and bamboo are added. Mohair contributes additional strength and luster.
