Fiber batt made using hand-dyed fibers, Rosy-Fingered Dawn is a blend of 90% wool (CVM and Merino/Cotswold, both from Colorado), 8% bamboo, and 2% tussah silk. The bulk of the batt is made up of CVM, which is soft and bouncy, with some sleekness from the Merino/Cotswold as well as the silk and bamboo.
The poem from which the name of this batt was taken may be about one who walks in beauty like the night, but let’s face it, daytime can be pretty beautiful too - especially a day where the sky spreads out overhead in an unbroken dome of purest blue, deep azure and cerulean and cornflower, so clear you feel like you might fall up into it and just keep falling. A day with a sky like that is one of the treasures of the plains, and I’m happy to be able to share a tiny piece of it with you.
