Horse of a Different Color art batt (Off to See the Wizard collection)
Fiber batt from the Off to See the Wizard collection, made using hand-dyed fibers. Horse of a Different Color consists of 90% wool (Romney/Cheviot cross, Columbia/Rambouillet cross, Cotswold/Wensleydale cross locks) processed from raw, regionally sourced fleeces and 10% silk. The Romney/Cheviot and Cotswold/Wensleydale used in this blend are strong wools with striking lock structure and wavy crimp, while the Columbia/Rambouillet fleece consists of softer, finer-crimp locks. These work together to provide both durability and a great hand to yarns produced from the blend, both of which are reinforced by the added silk.
