Hand-combed on Valkyrie combs and pulled into top using a diz, this set is made using 80% wool (CVM, Cotswold/Merino, and Lincoln/Gotland from Colorado, Columbia/Rambouillet from Montana), 10% bamboo, 5% silk, and 5% mohair. The fibers were combed separately and then layered together and combed through several more passes until blended to a level at which they will draft together but not look homogeneous.
This set is designed as a gradient depicting an oncoming storm, changing bit by bit from a blue sky with a few wisps of cloud to the near-night-black of a massive thunderstorm.
