Walnut Valley Locks, Wensleydale

$10.00

Wensleydale sheep are known for their luscious, lustrous, curly locks, and they are one of my favorite things to dye! Walnut Valley is named for a river valley in Kansas near where I grew up, and for the black walnut trees that abound there. The many shades of brown in this colorway are reminiscent of the shades one can get from walnut hulls. The locks measure from 5” to 7” in length, and are deliciously soft. Sold by the ounce.

Longwool locks such as these are ideal for needle felting, wet felting, weaving accents, or any of a slew of spinning projects.
