Handspun yarn in weight 3/light/dk, 190yards and 3 ounces, in a gradient from an eerie blue-green to a brown-gray, just the colors one sees in the sky before a particularly ferocious storm on the Plains in July. This gradient was dyed in the wool and chain-plied after spinning. The yarn measures 14 wpi and is spun with from a 75% Targhee/25% merino sliver, very soft and bouncy.
This yarn is finished with a Z twist, meaning it may feel more natural to crocheters and Continental knitters than the majority of commercial yarns - but English knitters needn’t feel left out; it can be knitted that way too! As for weaving, it would make a lovely weft and is suitable for many warps.

Care instructions: hand wash finished items in cool to lukewarm water, with gentle detergent or baby shampoo. Do not subject to harsh scrubbing/wringing or sudden temperature shocks when wet unless felting is desired. Reshape and dry flat.
