Cornucopia Handspun DK weight yarn, 3-ply

$60.00

Handspun yarn in weight 3/DK, 300 yards and 3.7 ounces, spun from 100% Dorset horn in a fractally-spun set of muted colors that would fit right into anyone’s harvest-themed decor. The three-ply finished yarn measures 12 wpi, spanning the line between worsted and DK weight. I’ve opted to class it as a DK weight yarn, but it might well work for that special worsted weight project too!

This yarn is finished with a Z twist, meaning it may feel more natural to crocheters and Continental knitters than the majority of commercial yarns - but English knitters needn’t feel left out; it can be knitted that way too! As for weaving, it would make a lovely weft and would be well suited to warping as well.

Photos are taken in natural light with as much color fidelity as possible, but please remember that screens vary, so from one device to another it may appear slightly different. However, the item shown is the item you will receive.

Yarn is wrapped in a hank. Caking is available upon request.

All my fibers are spun and dyed in a smoke free, pet friendly home.

Care instructions: hand wash finished items in cool to lukewarm water, with gentle detergent or baby shampoo. Do not subject to harsh scrubbing/wringing or sudden temperature shocks when wet unless felting is desired. Reshape and dry flat.

This is a one of a kind item. If you are interested in a larger quantity or would like to purchase Cornucopia in another format or on a different fiber base, please reach out to me! I’d be thrilled to spin and/or dye up a batch to order. It will obviously vary to an extent from this skein, but the spirit will remain the same.
